Characterization and Phylogenetic Analysis of the First Complete Mitochondrial Genome of Gnathophyllum americanum (Guérin-Méneville, 1855) (Malacostraca: Decapoda: Palaemonidae)

Complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) sequences can provide useful and varied information for evolutionary phylogenetic studies. We report the first complete mitogenome sequence of bumblebee shrimp (Gnathophyllum americanum). The is 15,842 bp in length contains 13 protein-encoding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA 22 transfer genes. nucleotide composition was as follows: A,36.72%; T,29.62%; C,21.0%; G,12.66%. most common start stop codons are ATG TAA, respectively. MGO (mitochondrial gene order) G. americanum Hymenocera picta unique Decapoda. Both phylogeny based on genomic DNA data pattern indicate that genus Gnathophyllum might be a sister to Hymenocera. mitogenomic obtained this study will more species identification, population genetics, biogeography.
